Color
"COLOR is my daylong obsession, joy and torment" wrote Claude Monet.
I have an idea of what he meant. Sometimes I lay awake planning my next project, trying to remember what colors are opposite what on the color wheel. Other times I view a Chesapeake Bay sunset and marvel at nature’s improbable color combinations – she breaks all the rules yet the sunsets melt your heart.

Here, a gift for one of my very favorite people – acrylic on cotton, calligraphy and machine stitching.
